Why Join Olympia Prep?

Finding the right ACT prep is challenging and something you’ve probably never had to look for before.  So how are you supposed to know the good from the bad?  Perhaps you’ve heard conflicting things from friends about different programs and you need help sorting through the muck.

We had the exact same issue when we were high school students looking for the right help.  We created Olympia Prep’s programs to address these very questions and the uncertainty we faced ourselves.  As you consider where to prep, we recommend asking the questions below everywhere you consider.

We’ve included our answers if you click on the questions below.  If you like our philosophy, our answers, please join our ACT prep family!  If you find a program elsewhere that has answers you like more than ours, we urge you to go with that program.  But either way, we think these are the important questions to ask no matter where you go!

Questions to ask here and everywhere you look:
(click a question below to see our answer)

“Will this get results for me?  What are your results and what do you guarantee?”

“Every ACT prep program seems very confident but you can’t predict the future.  What are you going to do if my score doesn’t go up after my first try?  What’s your plan B just in case we need a different approach?”

“Do I get private attention?  I think my needs are a bit different from the average student’s.”

“Do you give timed and proctored ACT practice exams?  Are they real ACT tests or your own approximation of an ACT Test?”

“What’s your curriculum based upon?  Can I just get the same thing from a book or a cheaper program?”

“What are your ACT prep instructor’s qualifications?  Why is this instructor the right person to teach my student?”

Why Prep for the ACT at all?

Perhaps you’re unsure about this whole process in general.  Why is everyone preparing for the ACT?  Is all this necessary?  Things sure have changed quickly regarding the ACT test.  If you have a child who is a student in high school, you probably remember the ACT as something you took just once with no prep (and probably after a late night of Friday evening festivities).

Things have gotten even more complicated since Covid came and changed the game.  Now most schools have shifted from test-required to test-optional.

What does this mean for your admissions and scholarship strategy?
